Mission Statement of Mount Tabor Ministries
The mission of Mount Tabor Ministries is to present sustainable facilities that encourage interaction with the environment and its natural resources and provide camping and retreat services that by design and layout, offer a sense of tradition and values.

Mount Tabor Ministries is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation affiliated with the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh. Incorporated in the fall of 2002, Mount Tabor Ministries was formed to oversee the funding and operations of the property and facilities of the camp and retreat center planned for property purchased near Butler, PA.

The President of the Board of Directors is His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Pittsburgh. Many Mount Tabor Board Ministries board members are also active in other areas of Metropolis ministry.

According to Holy Scripture, Jesus was transfigured on Mount Tabor, showing his divine glory, and uniting the earthly with the heavenly. Created in God's image, mankind also has sewn within its very creation a calling to the divine. The ministries of Mount Tabor are designed to help each of us to be transfigured into the fullness of what God intends for us.
